Ласковый май (Laskoviy May / Tender May is the mind-boggling story of Sergey Kuznetsov and Vyacheslav Ponomarev who 1986 started in Orenburg near the border of today's Kazakhstan a teenage musical group together with thirteen years old singer Yuri Shatunov, a runaway from Bashkortostan. Later Laskoviy May was managed by Andrey Razin, himself from an orphanage in Kislovodsk near the Black Sea, a Soviet male singer who pretended to be President Gorbatchov's nephew.

Laskovy May became the number one Soviet pop band with up to seven sold out concerts per day. According to some data, every third resident of Russia has been to a concert of the group at least once.

White Roses

A little warmer behind the glass, but evil frosts
I enter these doors like in a garden of July flowers
I want so much to warm them with warmth, but white roses
I am ready to kiss and stroke them in front of everyone
I want to warm them with warmth, but white roses
I am ready to kiss and stroke in front of everyone

White roses, white roses, defenseless thorns
What the snow and frost have done to them, the ice of blue shop windows
People will decorate their holiday with you only for a few days
And leave you to die on a white, cold window

And people carry you home and late in the evening
Let the festive light fill all the windows of the courtyards in an instant
Who thought of raising you in winter, oh, white roses
And take cruel blizzards into the world, cold winds
Who invented to raise you in winter, oh white roses
And to take cruel blizzards, cold winds into the world

White roses, white roses, defenseless thorns
What did snow and frost, the ice of blue shop windows do to them
People will decorate their holiday with you only for a few days
And leave you to die on a white, cold window

...

If you look careful you might detect some white rose in the picture of the boys band.
