San Antonio about life

There are...

- good writers who sell well... few

- good writer who don't sell well... some

- bad writers who sell well... also some

- bad writers who don't sell well... many

Fréderic Dard (1921-200) was one of the few good writers who sold hundred million books. Under the nom-de-plume "San Antonio" he told 175 crime stories about a conceited French commissaire de police who talks like it is five o'clock in the morning and you happen to sit next to a slightly drunk guy who just knows how to tell a story twisting the plot and the words just for the fun of it. Behind the mask of "San Antonio" Fréderic Dard was able to tell many uncomfortable truths.
